Shayne N6SPE read back key points from the December minutes. A correction to the proper name of the Lake Oroville event was noted - the correct name is Lake Oroville Vista Endurance Ride. No other corrections or objections were offered. Minutes were accepted as amended. Rick N6KLB welcomed everyone and introductions were made around the room. Old Business We received a letter from ExplorIt, and they have accepted our payment of $150 for another year's use of the room. Ben WA6NIK gave a treasurer's report. Postponed elections were completed by re-electing the current officers. Rick N6KLB is President, Dave W6OT is Vice President, Ben WA6NIK is Treasurer, and Shayne N6SPE is Secretary. Gary WA6TQJ gave an update on activities of the UC Davis amateur radio group. The UC Davis repeater is now coordinated, and the temporary repeater will soon be replaced by a permanent GE repeater. A net control training class will be offered soon, the training is open to all and will include UCD Police/Fire dispatchers as speakers. New Business Dave W6OT - ExplorIt needs money. Should we make a donation? It is decided that we should all research and think about this, and a decision will be made at February meeting. Meeting closed 1956. Following the business meeting, there were two activities: Gary WA6TQJ gave a short presentation on future energy needs/plans for California. Dave W6OT and helpers set up and demonstrated two-way ATV communication using fast scan television in the 430 MHz band. Three separate stations were set up in the room.
